Co-founder of “Medina & Guimarães Advogados.” He graduated in Law from the State University of Maringá, and holds a master and doctorate degree in law from the PUC-SP University. He also was a temporary professor and researcher at Faculdad de Derecho (Universidad de Sevilla/Spain) and was a visiting professor at Columbia Law School (New York, USA).

He took part in the commission of lawyers nominated by the Federal Senate to prepare the preliminary Project of 2015 Civil Procedure Code.

He was a state (Paraná) and federal advisor at Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil and president of the National Commission for Access to Justice of this entity.

The themes of his master's dissertation and his doctoral thesis discuss the main object of his juridical practice. His master's dissertation, whose commercial version is in its 7th edition, is about the defense of rights in the High Court of Justice and the Supreme Court. Mainly in extraordinary and special appeals in constitutional actions, representing the parties and also amici curiae in several cases of national repercussion. In his doctorate, he developed his thesis on the execution proceedings, which also applies to the lawyers’ practice. Part of these thesis was accepted by the 2015 Civil Procedure Code (such as, the atypical nature of executive measures). At the moment, the commercial version of his doctoral thesis is in its 6th edition.

Professor in undergraduate and graduate degree programs for more than 25 years (today, as a professor at Paranaense University and associate at Universidade Estadual de Maringá), he is the author of numerous articles and several books. His book Execução was one of the recipients of the Jabuti Award in its 51st edition, in 2009.

He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Autism & Life Institute for the area of ​​human rights / legal sciences / public policies.

Author of topics related to constitutional, civil and civil procedural law.
